The lawn rake is an intermediate tool between the classic rake and the leaf rake: its teeth, designed for combing rather than scratching, are longer, more flexible, and finer than those of the classic rake, but its head is shorter than that a lawn sweep. It is a very useful tool for keeping the lawn and the garden in general looking neat, especially after mowing or trimming, or in autumn when trees shed their leaves, leaving a significant amount of dead leaves on the lawn, terrace, and pathways. When leaves fall in large quantities, they completely cover the ground, depriving the lawn of light, which may need to be reseeded in spring. This 32-tine model is also sometimes used for scarifying the lawn, i.e. scratching and aerating the grass while removing moss. This garden tool consists of a beech handle, a wood known for its robustness, with a socket where the steel head is attached.
