The Senlis duopro spade with Novamax handle by Leborgne stands out for its comfort of use and robustness! Its long Novamax handle is made of a synthetic blend that includes fibreglass and is covered with a non-slip elastomer grip, making it lightweight, unbreakable, and anti-vibration. This exceptionally robust tool features a tempered steel head with reinforcing ribs and is mounted on a wooden handle with an apple shape, on a high, fully welded socket, fixed with screws and reinforced by a rear reinforcing collar. Its narrow head is specially equipped with sharpened lateral and frontal cutting edges, non-slip footrests, and lateral crumblers, making it suitable for easily and deeply working less rocky and heavy soils. It is a perfect tool for soil preparation, transplanting, and trenches. Also available in other versions with different handles. Manufacturer's 15-year guarantee.
Dimensions of the spade blade: 28 cm x 20 cm
Lame thickness: 2.4 mm
Weight: 2.2 kg
The spade is a garden tool designed for intensive work on less rocky and heavy soils. It is a long and narrow-bladed spade used for deep soil preparation, requiring precision and strength, such as in the case of clay soils. It is also used by nurserymen to uproot trees or shrubs with extensive root systems. Its double-sided polished blade easily penetrates these types of soils, while its high socket provides resistance to tipping and lifting heavy weights while protecting the handle from rot and dirt. Use it to deeply turn the soil, bury fertilisers and amendments such as manure, and transplanting. It is also used for earthworks, especially for digging trenches for drainage pipes or creating a hedge. This model is equipped with sharp-edged heads and non-slip footrests that allow for better soil penetration. Lateral crumblers are a valuable aid in breaking up clods more effectively. Its long synthetic apple handle makes it lightweight and easy to use as a lever while providing power. The Novamax material consists of three materials, including highly resistant fibreglass, making it unbreakable and easy to handle. Its comfortable elastomer grip absorbs shocks. Its high-quality design guarantees exceptional resistance to effort and wear! The tool is fully tempered steel equipped with reinforcing ribs that better withstand the pressures exerted during deep digging. It will last for many years. This tool is guaranteed for 15 years by the manufacturer.
The Leborgne company is a French company born out of metallurgical activity in Savoie in 1829. Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
