The Jutebag sack is a versatile product that will be very useful for garden maintenance. It can be used to collect grass clippings, weed debris, dead leaves, or harvest fruits and to protect frost-sensitive pots or tender plants in winter. Made from thick jute canvas, it is a durable, natural and 100% biodegradable product. Dimensions: 60 cm (24in) width by 1 m (3ft) height. Sold in packs of 3.

Jute canvas is a true ally for gardeners. This plant-based material comes directly from the rigid and fibrous stems of a bush called the white jute, in Latin Corchorus capsularis. It is a plant from the mallow family, related to hibiscus and native to the warm and humid regions of India. This is a raw, untreated canvas made of woven fibres with a mesh density of 300g/m². The tighter the mesh, the stronger the canvas. This fully biodegradable and natural jute canvas can be reused for several years before starting to degrade.

Its primary function as a transport bag is important, especially since this bag can be reused countless times, unlike traditional rubbish bags that are often thrown away with their contents. In the garden, it can also replace polypropylene winter covers and veils. It is thick and airy at the same time and insulates plants from cold, wind, hail, and snow while allowing air and water to pass through for the plants' survival. When offered in rolls, jute canvas can be used as an alternative to conventional polypropylene mulch fabrics to protect the soil, reduce weeding operations, and reduce watering due to its ability to retain moisture in the soil. In this use, jute canvas plays its role as a geotextile, particularly useful for retaining soil on large slopes or sloping terrain. Cut into wide strips, it can also be wrapped around large stakes like those used for certain indoor plants like Monstera deliciosa. Stakes covered with jute canvas also help guide the initial growth of young ivy, climbing hydrangeas, or Virginia creeper, providing an ideal surface for their climbing roots and tendrils to cling to. Jute canvas also protects young tree trunks from deer damage.

Directions for use This jute bag is sturdy and will not give way under the weight of waste. It can also be used to protect young trailing plants, whether in the ground or in a pot: cover your plant with the bag, then tie the base of the bag using a cord down to the trunk, or even down to the bottom of the pot whenever possible. This bag will also insulate your frost-sensitive containers and pottery.
