Our range of Rhipsalis, epiphytic cacti with graphic shapes that are easy to grow indoors. Sometimes called 'Mistletoe Cacti', these succulent plants are truly graceful when trailing where their long drooping stems create a beautiful cascading effect.
One of the widest spread species, The Rhipsalis baccifera, charms with its light green cylindrical stems forming a dense mass of root hairs. The Rhipsalis cassutha features thin, trailing, virtually thread-like stems perfect for a chic and bohemian decor. The Rhipsalis pilocarpa is an original plant with its thick, villous stems adorned with small fragrant white flowers in winter.
Rhipsalis are tropical cacti native to Central and South America. Unlike desert cacti, they grow in humid environments, often hanging from tree branches.
These cacti appreciate bright light but no direct sunlight and a well-draining substrate based on orchid or epiphytic plant compost. Water them moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Regular misting will maintain their ideal moisture level. In winter, reduce watering to observe their dormant period.
