Our range of Eremophilas, drought-resistant ornamental bushes that work well in dry and sunny gardens. Among the must-haves is charming Eremophila nivea, or silky eremophila, with its almost white, downy foliage and delicate, luminous mauve flowers. Eremophila 'Beryl's Blue' forms a bright and dense ball with its snowy foliage and small lavender bell-shaped flowers—a beautiful variety for Mediterranean beds! More understated Eremophila maculata 'Aurea' has delightful, pale yellow tubular flowers and a compact habit.
Native to Australia, eremophilas are adapted to warm and dry climates but are not frost-hardy. These small evergreen bushes require very well-drained soil and tolerate drought well once established. Plant them in full sun in sandy or stony soil for optimal growth. Perfect by the seaside, they also make lovely terrace plants. Growing them in pots allows for overwintering, just like citrus trees.
