Description

The Calibrachoa Sweet Bells Plum is a very floriferous and long-lasting annual plant with a compact ball-shaped habit. Its trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in shades of pink and violet, transitioning from pale pink to intense pink and then to plum red-pink and finally to violet-pink. They continue to bloom from spring until the first frost.

This Calibrachoa Sweet Bells is ideal for hanging baskets, containers, or pots. It reaches a height of 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20in).

Resistant to drought and heat, they thrive in sunny locations. The Calibrachoa Plum has rapid and vigorous growth. It is a recent introduction.

Beautiful combination with Verbenas and Surfinia Petunias.

Note: Please be aware that our young plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners. Upon receipt, transplant and store them in a sheltered area (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before placing them outdoors once the risk of frost has definitively passed.

Planting and care

You can plant your Sweet Bells Plum Calibrachoas in the ground or in a pot. If you want to plant them in the ground, wait until the last heavy frosts have passed. In the meantime, you can pre-cultivate them in a warm and bright place to accelerate their growth. The Sweet Bells Calibrachoas will flower from June to October. Plant your Sweet Bells calibrachoa in a sunny location sheltered from the wind. They need a light and humus-bearing soil, but above all, it must be well-draining. Do not water them too much at the beginning of the growing season as they are sensitive to excess moisture. They tolerate drought well but will need regular watering during hot summer periods. Very floriferous and fast-growing, they are hungry plants. We recommend feeding them with a liquid fertiliser for surfinias once or twice a week during the growing season. Remove faded flowers and dry leaves as they appear to keep them looking beautiful and prolong the flowering period.
