Our plants with purple flowers. Like the Agapanthus 'Royal Velvet', 'Poppin Purple' or 'Pitchoune Violet', this superb summer perennial, also known as Blue Tuberose or Blue Nile Lily, sometimes produces particularly dark, purple to deep purple umbels of flowers. One of the most fascinating is perhaps the 'Black Pantha' agapanthus, whose late and abundant flowering takes the form of almost black, trailing flowers gathered in large umbels. With their exotic charm, these purple agapanthus are among the most beautiful summer perennials. The flower stalks, ranging in height from 40 cm (16in) to over 1 m (3ft), dominate a tuft of luxuriant foliage that can be either deciduous or evergreen depending on the variety. Agapanthus are also plants of South African origin, eager for sun and warmth, and therefore variably resistant to frost. They are preferably cultivated in the ground or in pots depending on the regions. Over time, agapanthus clumps will become more and more generous, and their presence in the garden or on the terrace is comparable to that of a beautiful bush. We offer you the widest selection of purple agapanthus.
