This digging fork has a 4-pronged, 25 cm long steel head, perfect for working deep into hard and/or stony soils. It is an essential tool for aerating the soil near established plants without damaging their roots, removing stones, digging and transplanting.

This four-pronged 30 cm Spear & Jackson garden fork has been designed to loosen and work the soil to a good depth. Equipped with a curved ash handle finished with a knob, this garden tool has a wide and sturdy steel head, fitted with four sharp and strong, particularly long tines, suitable for difficult, heavy, clayey or stony soils. This versatile garden fork is also very useful for aerating and working the soil in already planted areas without damaging roots, removing stones from a plot, bringing up larvae as well as digging up and transplanting work.

Dimensions: blade: 30 cm in height, 19.5 cm in width - handle length: 100 cm - weight 1.870 Kg

The fork is a complementary tool to the spade, designed to loosen and crumble the soil deeply, in small areas. It is much better suited than the spade for working clayey, heavy and compact or stony soils. It loosens the soil without turning it over, simply by breaking it up through the penetration of the tines. Unlike the spade, this garden tool does not disturb the soil's microbial life and does not cut earthworms, which are essential for soil health and fertility. It can be used to dig up weeds, but also certain vegetable plants (leeks, potatoes, carrots, turnips), or to divide large clumps of perennial plants. This model, with its large fork, will also uproot small bushes. It consists of a flexible ash handle, resistant to bending and shocks, with a socket where the head with 4 steel tines with triangular tips is attached. The curved handle is rounded at its end, finished with a knob. It is compostable, the metal head is recyclable.
