Flowering hedges change colour throughout the seasons, evolcing as they produce flowers and fruits. They are often grown freely, without pruning, and combine plants that flower in spring, summer, autumn and even winter. If desired you can also create a four seasons hedge by choosing varieties with different flowering periods. By combining evergreen varieties like bay laurel, which keeps its foliage in winter, with deciduous bushes like mock orange, you will avoid having a bare and unattractive hedge in winter.
