The selection Calibrachoa 'Mixis Summer Parade' brings together three varieties of Mini-petunias from the 'Noa' series, combining trumpet-shaped flowers in white, fresh pink, or bright blue-violet, depending on the plants. Bushy and slightly trailing, these annual plants produce countless small flowers that joyfully overflow from flower pots, offering a sensational display from spring until the first frost. Low water requirements, rain resistance, and minimal maintenance make this refined trio ideal for hanging baskets or sunny borders. Provide them with fertile, neutral to acidic, and well-drained soil.
Calibrachoa, sometimes called Million Bells, are tender perennial plants often grown as annuals. Very similar to petunias, they differ in the number of chromosomes that make up their genetic heritage and some morphological characteristics; their flowers are smaller, their growth habit is shrubby or herbaceous with woody stems, their development is less significant, and they tolerate drought better. The hybrids in this group all belong to the solanaceae family (like tomatoes) and are likely descended from an Argentine species called Petunia integrifolia. The improved 'Noa' series is distinguished by early and long-lasting flowering, good weather resistance, and low maintenance.
The plants in the 'Mixis Summer Parade' selection belong to the varieties 'Noa Blue Legend', 'Noa Dark Pink Carnival', and 'Noa Almond Blossom'. They quickly form wider than tall clumps, measuring 20 to 25 cm (8 to 10in) in height and 30 to 40 cm (12 to 16in) in diameter. Their flexible stems are covered with small lanceolate, evergreen, slightly hairy and sticky leaves, in a dark green colour that beautifully enhances the flowering of this trio. This tireless flowering occurs from May until the first frost. Numerous small trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in the axils of the leaves, measuring 3 to 4 cm (1 to 2in) wide, covering the faded flowers that fall off on their own. From June to August, the dominant colour of the composition varies, with each variety adding its personal touch to a very lovely changing bouquet.
Calibrachoa 'Mixis Summer Parade' is ideal for hanging baskets, flower pots, and containers, but its heat resistance, drought tolerance, and excellent flower performance in the rain also allow it to be used in the ground, where it creates colourful borders in sunny flower beds. It can be planted alone in tubs, flower pots, or hanging baskets on the terrace, balcony, or patio. Remarkable combinations can be made with Dichondra Silver Falls, black-foliaged Ipomoeas, Surfinia Petunias, Bacopas, and Nemesias. The choice is vast and allows for the imagination and tastes of every gardener, even the inexperienced ones.
Note: Please be aware that our young plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, repot and store them in protected areas (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before placing them outdoors once the risk of frost has definitively passed.

Botanical data
You can plant your 'Noa' Calibrachoas in the ground or in a pot. If you want to plant them in the ground, in soil enriched with compost, wait until the last heavy frosts have passed. In the meantime, you can pre-cultivate them in a pot in a warm and bright place to accelerate their growth. The 'Noa' Calibrachoas will flower from May-June to October. Plant them in a sunny location sheltered from the wind. They need a light and humus-rich soil, free of limestone, but above all well-draining, and they are sensitive to stagnant water. Do not water them too much at the beginning of the growing season as they are sensitive to excess humidity. They tolerate drought well, but will need regular watering during hot summer weather. Very floriferous and fast-growing, they are hungry plants. We recommend feeding them with a liquid fertilizer for surfinias once or twice a week during the growing season. Although not obligatory, you can remove faded flowers and dry leaves as you go to keep them looking beautiful and prolong flowering.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
