Cephalanthus - Button Bush

Our range of Cephalanthus. Cephalantus occidentalis, the Bush-buttonwood, is a small bush distinguished by its globular and fragrant inflorescences, composed of numerous small white flowers. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, it is highly valued by pollinators, especially bees and butterflies.

Among the varieties of Cephalanthus occidentalis, we offer 'Sugar Shack', a compact variety reaching about 1.20 m in height, ideal for small gardens. Its spherical white flowers are followed by decorative red fruits. The variety 'Fiber Optics' is also noteworthy for its compact growth, melliferous inflorescences, and dark green foliage turning orange-yellow in autumn. Another variety, 'Magical Moonlight' ('Moonlight Fantasy'), stands out for its larger flowers, pale yellow foliage in autumn, and a more upright habit, reaching up to 2.5 m in height.

The Cephalanthus occidentalis adapts well to moist soils and can even tolerate periods of flooding, making it perfect for the wet areas of your garden. It blooms best in full sun. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, and prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
