Description

The Bonfire composition brings together 3 different varieties of BeautiCal hybrid petunias with a semi-spreading habit and large, beautifully coloured flowers in a single pot. Their flowers create a beautiful harmony of decorative, warm tones from June to October. These petunias require less water than traditional petunias, are resistant to rain, and need almost no maintenance. Already composed and ready to plant, this trio quickly makes an impact and remains decorative for a long time without requiring much maintenance. They should be planted in a planter or a large hanging basket to decorate the terrace or balcony.

The Bonfire pot is composed of:

- 1 x Petunia Petchoa Beautical Bordeaux: quite dark red finely veined with black, dark throat, almost black

- 1 x Petunia Petchoa Beautical Caramel Yellow: yellow flowers with discreet veins of old red converging towards a caramel amber throat.

- 1 x Petunia Petchoa Beautical French Vanilla: very pale yellow flowers with fine dark veins converging towards a more brown throat.

Petchoa are horticultural hybrids resulting from cross-breeding between petunias and Calibrachoa. They are tender perennials often grown as annuals. Very similar to each other, these two types of plants differ in some morphological characteristics: calibrachoa flowers are smaller, their growth habit is shrubby or herbaceous with woody stems, their development is less significant, and they tolerate drought better. The hybrids that make up this group all belong to the Solanaceae family (like tomatoes) and probably descend from an Argentine species called Petunia integrifolia. The improved 'BeautiCal' series stands out for its compact habit, beautiful-sized flowers (7 cm (3in)), and good resistance to diseases, bad weather, and heat.

Grown in the same pot, these three petunias quickly fill their container and gracefully overflow. They should be repotted in a larger pot, such as a planter or hanging basket, preferably wide, to showcase them on the balcony or terrace.
