A particularly strong and effective push hoe thanks to the two branches that connect the steel head to the handle. With its wide, sharp blade, it's a perfect tool for weeding and aerating the surface of the soil in flower beds, borders, or between the rows of vegetables in the vegetable garden. Its sturdy beech handle, which is a good length (130cm (51in)), protects the user's back.

The  Spear & Jackson Push Hoe, due to its head securely fixed by two steel pieces to the wooden handle, is a particularly robust and durable model that can be used for weeding, aerating, and loosening the surface of the soil to make it suitable for cultivation and more permeable to watering. The applied force on the ultra-sharp blade being evenly distributed, the work will be of higher quality. This garden tool is particularly recommended for maintaining vegetable gardens and flower beds in light soil.

This model consists of a long 130cm (51in) varnished beech wood handle, sourced from sustainably managed forests (100% PEFC), with a "pomme" shaped end equipped with a ring for easy tool storage. It has a sturdy socket where the two-branch head made of steel is attached. The blade of this Spear & Jackson Push Hoe is a low-height rectangle with a very sharp edge, which scrapes and lifts the surface of the soil with formidable efficiency, and cleanly cuts unwanted weeds at the neck, just at the surface of the soil. Unlike a hoe, it penetrates the soil very little. The user handles this tool by pushing the blade in a wide, quick motion without applying too much pressure. The wooden handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.

Dimensions:

  • Total height of the tool: 144cm (57in)
  • Blade width: 16cm (6in)
  • Blade depth: 8cm (3in)

Directions for use The Spear & Jackson 2-branch push hoe is particularly suitable for weeding and maintaining flower beds and vegetable gardens in light soil. This tool is operated by pushing the head just below the surface of the soil, in a wide, quick motion without applying too much pressure. The blade scrapes and lifts the surface of the soil to loosen it, aerate it, and facilitate the penetration of watering water. It cleanly cuts unwanted weeds at the neck, just at the surface of the soil. Unlike a hoe, the push hoe only penetrates the soil very little. Clean your tool after use and store it away from sunlight and bad weather.
