The Bulb Planter by Burgon & Ball, is the tool you need to plant bulbs with a diameter of no more than 7cm (3in) in your garden. Lightweight but very durable, it is a very handy and efficient tool.

Bulbs are often planted in groups or masses to create dense and colorful patches in the garden. They need to be buried at a specific planting depth, often corresponding to twice the height of the planted bulb or more. The heat treatment ensures that the steel has exactly the right hardness for each tool. Too hard and the metal can break or chip, not hard enough and it will bend or lose its sharpness. The thickness of the steel used also depends on the tool. This planter requires a thicker steel thickness than a knife, which can be made of much thinner steel.
