PKS
The Atlas pickaxe from the PKS Bronze range is distinguished by its head made of aluminium bronze, known for its extreme resistance to corrosion and wear, which is fixed to a reinforced bristle socket with double matting and secured to the ash handle with a screw. This is a particularly sturdy tool essential for preparing, excavating, and planting in hard and stony soils. To keep your tools in good condition for a long time, remember to clean them after use and store them in a dry place.

The Atlas PKS Bronze pickaxe, a brand named after the famous Austrian naturalist and ecologist, is a large hand tool specifically designed for heavy work on very hard and rocky soils. It is distinguished by its ash wood handle, a wood particularly resilient to shocks but which must be kept dry! Its wear-resistant aluminium bronze head has two sides, one in the form of a sharp-edged rectangular blade for aerating, digging, and cutting roots in loose soil, and the other, narrower side for opening hard lands, removing stones, and uprooting stumps. The head of this tool is curved, allowing it to be used as a pivot for uprooting and removing roots. It is the perfect tool for preparation before cultivation and terracing in difficult-to-work soils. Made in Austria with a reinforced through tang socket.

The pickaxe is a fairly heavy tool, composed of an aluminium bronze head fixed by a socket to an ash wood handle. Aluminum bronze, or cupro aluminium, is an alloy used for its combination of high strength and excellent resistance to corrosion and wear. The pickaxe is one of the oldest tools in the world and is mainly used for heavy garden work such as terracing, uprooting stumps, and extracting stones and rocks. It is the perfect tool for preparing very hard and rocky soils before cultivation. Its metal head, mounted at a 90-degree (194°F) angle to the handle, has two sides, one of which is thinner and used to remove large roots, rocks, and compact hard and stony soils. The other side is profiled as a sharp-edged rectangular blade for digging, excavating, and weeding looser soils. This model is equipped with an aluminium bronze head, socketed and reinforced by matting. The blade is also screwed to the handle, giving it unmatched solidity.

PKS Bronze is an Austrian company specializing in traditional tools made of copper alloy. Copper tools are imperishable, they do not rust and last a lifetime. They also have the advantage of not dulling, no need to sharpen them. Finally, they are also elegant, with the aesthetic of copper providing a noble and silky appearance. Copper tools, with extreme longevity, are faithful companions to their owners for decades.

Directions for use The Atlas pickaxe is a rather heavy tool, composed of a bronze head attached by a socket to a handle made of hard wood. It is one of the oldest tools in the world and is mainly used for heavy garden work such as stump removal and stone extraction. However, it is not intended for excavation or construction work as it would damage its bronze head. It is the perfect garden tool for preparing very hard and stony soils before cultivation. Its metal head, mounted at a 90° (194°F) angle to the handle, is composed of two sides, one of which is thinner than the other to extract large roots, rocks, and loosen compacted hard and stony soils. The other side is shaped like a rectangular blade with a sharp edge to remove crust, dig, and weed softer soils. Clean your tool after use and store it away from bad weather.
