A traditional flower hoe with an ash handle, equipped with a hoe on one side and a two-pronged fork on the other side. This garden tool is designed to aerate and loosen any type of soil in narrow and hard-to-reach areas. Its head is hand-forged from boron steel.

This traditional De Pypere double-headed flower hoe, with its sharpened hoe on one side and two-pointed fork on the other, is ideal for aerating and loosening any type of soil, including in tight or hard-to-reach places. With a short ash handle, this flower hoe has a hand-forged head, with a steel body and a boron steel finish. It is a lightweight, manoeuvrable, sturdy, well-made tool that will last for many years.

Dimensions: head width: 6.5cm (3in), length: 23cm (9in). Handle length: 40cm (16in).

The flower hoe is one of the essential tools for gardening and one of the first you should acquire, due to its versatility. This high-quality model consists of a natural ash handle, known for its hardness, with a socket where the forged head is attached, made of steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion. It is a double-headed and dual-purpose tool. The flat and square side of the head called the "hoe," is used for weeding by scraping the surface of the soil, piling soil around the base of plants, or digging the soil. Meanwhile, the pointed side, called the "fork," breaks or forks the surface soil, dislodging the roots of "weeds." In the vegetable garden, the flower hoe is used to dig a furrow in the soil for sowing. This flower hoe is invaluable for working the top few centimetres of soil in small spaces, as it can manoeuvre around plants that are too close together for a wider hoe to pass through. With its short handle, this model is particularly suitable for raised beds or flower boxes. Work with bent legs if you are working a traditional flower bed, to protect your back. The handle of this flower hoe is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.

The traditional Pypere range includes high-quality tools, all forged in steel and equipped with ash handles.

The boron steel coating on the blade is very hard and durable, a valuable material for tools that can be heavily used in the garden.

This tool comes with a warranty. The warranty does not apply to handles or grips, only to the metal parts, excluding consumables (screws, springs, etc.), and under normal use conditions.

Directions for use With its short handle, this model is particularly suitable for raised vegetable beds or flower pots. Remember to work with bent legs if you are hoeing a traditional flower bed, to protect your back. The flat and square side of the head (the hoe) allows you to: - weed the soil: remove weeds by scraping the surface of the soil - hoe - mound up: pile up soil around the crown of plants (potatoes, asparagus, beans) - dig the soil: in the vegetable garden, the hand hoe allows you to dig a furrow in the soil for sowing, in line with a marked line using a cord. The fork-shaped side with two prongs allows you to pick, hoe or loosen the surface soil to dislodge the roots of 'weeds'. This hand hoe can manoeuvre around plants that are too close together for a wider hoe to pass through.
