Flower arrived damaged. I followed the advice of customer service by planting it and it has recovered well. However, it did not bloom in 2020. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to flower in 2021.

Description

Perennial plants which are essential for compact, heavy, wet, and marshy soils. They are highly resistant to cold, long-lived and disease-resistant. In addition to its flowers, the divided foliage is often decorative, although it disappears in winter.

A series of hybrids by Georg Arends created through cross-breeding A. chinensis, A astilboides, A. japonica, and A. thunbergii.
For wet soil.

Heavy upright plumes of flowers appear earlier or later, according to how closely they are related to Astilbe chinensis.
In this beautiful and robust variety, the flowering is early, and its amethyst colour is very unique.
