Thanks to I.S. and ? for the order preparation and shipping service, the rose bush I received appears to be healthy. Planted close to the 'Honorine de Braban' variety, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root... or not?

Planting and care

To install your potted rose, work the soil to a depth of 25 cubic centimetres, crumble the soil well, and place a base amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn at the bottom of the planting hole. Position your plant, removed from its pot, covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Fill in the hole and water generously to eliminate air pockets. During dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root development. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertiliser to stimulate flowering of the plants.

Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These spots are not harmful to the rose; it is a natural phenomenon.
