The HIVERSCRATCH winter cover with velcro closure protects plants from cold and wind but allows light, air, and essential water for plant life to pass through. It is easy to install and opens and closes effortlessly thanks to the presence of a velcro tape along its entire height and the drawstring located at its base. This protection is UV-treated and can be reused for several winters. The Hiverscratch cover will protect exotic or delicate plants and small bushes grown in pots or in the ground. This non-woven polypropylene winter cover with a density of 30g/m² provides good thermal insulation while allowing light to filter through. It has an appearance and flexibility reminiscent of a white honeycomb fabric, but it is a non-biodegradable material that has been treated to withstand the sun's UV rays for several winters. It acts as a barrier against bad weather and creates a favourable microclimate by retaining the heat accumulated during the day around the plant. The velcro tape that allows it to be opened flat makes it easy to install on the plant. This easy opening/closing also allows for ventilation or watering at the best times of the day. Once in place, it will be easy to tighten it around the base of the plant or the pot using the provided drawstring. The permeable texture of this winter fleece ensures good air circulation, which limits the accumulation of moisture produced by evergreen foliage that continues to breathe in winter. The humidity in the air as well as rainwater can partially penetrate to the plant, thus preventing the drying out of the atmosphere or the growing medium for those grown in pots. Polypropylene is a material that is largely recycled from other products.

Directions for use This non-woven polypropylene winter cover provides good winter protection for tender plants or bushes grown in containers outdoors or in the ground. It is easy to put in place from autumn onwards: simply open it flat at the velcro ribbon, wrap it around the plant, and then close the cover with the Velcro. Once the plant is covered, tighten the base of the cover using the cord. If the cover is too short to cover the pot, consider protecting it with layers of bubble wrap or winter fleece to insulate the roots from the cold. You can ventilate it in good weather, when it is not freezing, and then close the cover before the temperatures drop. Watering is often necessary in winter, especially for evergreen or mild climate plants: always water in mild weather, preferably in the middle of the day, at the base of the plants. This UV-treated cover can be reused for several seasons.
