Many English Roses by David Austin make excellent Climbing Roses, being floriferous throughout their height, fragrant, perpetual, and easy to control. They bloom regularly and consistently, their vegetation disappearing under a profusion of flowers. These English climbing roses produce numerous stems near the soil, allowing them to be espaliered fan-shaped on a wall, trellis, or fence. They offer an extremely wide range of colours, from the pure yellow of Graham Thomas to the apricot of Bathsheba, the very soft peach pink of A Shropshire Lad, as well as the crimson of Tess of the d'Ubervilles. Perfect for adorning pillars, obelisks, and arches, they also form charming large shrubs for free hedges or background planting and are resistant to rose diseases.
