Description

Add a splash of colour to your garden with the 'Two Months of Orange Tulips' collection, a selection of 3 different varieties, totalling 30 bulbs, to bring life and cheer to your flower beds. The flowering of these tulips showcases a range of orange shades, from pastel hues to vibrant tones, that bloom for two months in the spring.

This collection includes:

10 Orange Emperor Fosteriana Tulips: This early variety reaches approximately 35 cm in height. Its wide cup-shaped flowers open in a brilliant orange, with yellow nuances at the base of the petals. Its flowering starts in March, bringing the first touches of colour to the garden.

10 Véronique Sanson Triumph Tulips: This vigorous and elegant triumph tulip grows up to 40-45 cm. Its bright orange flowers with apricot undertones, stand out for their narrow cup-shaped form composed of lanceolate petals. It blooms in April, bridging the gap between early varieties and late bloomers.

10 Ballerina Lily-Flowered Tulips: With its slender and slightly curved petals, its flower has a graceful and almost dancing silhouette. This tulip reaches a height of 50 cm and is an intense orange with copper reflections. It is the latest bloomer of the three, flowering in May.

Bulbs labelled separately.

These tulips should be planted in the autumn, between September and November, for spring flowering. Place the 'Orange Emperor' variety bulbs in the foreground of your flower bed. Plant the 'Véronique Sanson' tulip bulbs in the middle ground, leaving a 15 cm space between each bulb. The taller 'Ballerina' flowers will find their place in the background. To create a mass effect and maximize visual impact, plant approximately 40 bulbs per square metre, spacing them 15 cm apart.

This collection of orange tulips pairs perfectly with blue or white Forget-Me-Nots. Plant them between the tulips to create clouds of small flowers from which they will emerge. Also mix these tulips with small groups of 5 Thalia Daffodils, pure white and delicately scented, for a touch of lightness and brightness. Add a few Purple Sensation Alliums with their purple umbels among the 'Ballerina' tulips. The ensemble will create a vibrant spring tableau, combining height, colour, and texture in perfect harmony.

Planting and care

Plant your tulips as soon as possible in a well-drained soil. Loosen the soil deeply. Plant at a depth of 15 cm (Bulbs should be covered with soil twice their height). Space the bulbs a few cm apart, making sure they do not touch each other. Choose a sunny location for better flowering. After flowering, cut the flower stalks and allow the leaves to dry completely before cutting them.
