Tulipa Flaming Club

Tulipa 'Flaming Club' produces 3 to 7 cup-shaped white flowers flamed and streaked with Tyrian rose. Its main stem branches into secondary stems, each bearing a flower. It blooms in May, in the heart of the tulip season. It forms a bouquet full of freshness and liveliness, with a naive appearance, very different from the somewhat stiff habit that some tulips sometimes have. It is perfect in bouquets, borders, flower beds, and planters. 

Tulipa 'Flaming Club' belongs to the Liliaceae family. Of horticultural origin, multi-flowered tulips have a branched floral stem that gives rise to several relatively small flowers, and therefore a more staggered flowering over time. The flowers appear at the top of 45 to 50cm (18 to 20in) stems, well above the broadly lanceolate leaves. The beautiful white flowers are randomly streaked by red-pink flames. Their centre is visible at full bloom. It is touched with pale-yellow and punctuated by pretty black anthers. Initially in the shape of a narrow cup, they open into wide corollas. Flowering takes place in May, lasting 2 to 3 weeks, and beautifully concludes the tulip season.

Tulipa 'Flaming Club' looks wonderful in all sunny flower beds. Its elegance complements tulips in white or red tones, creating a beautiful harmony. Combine it with daffodils, jonquils, hyacinths, Corsican hellebores, lady's mantle, and euphorbias for dazzling scenes. It can be planted in borders, rockeries, flower beds, pots, and planters. This tulip beautifies balconies and patios very well. It pairs perfectly with tall perennials such as peonies. Its cut flowers are ideal for creating elegant bouquets. Only use a little water in a vase. If your tulips open too quickly, you can add two to three ice cubes to the vase each day.
