Description

The Symbiosis Mix brings together 4 species of protective plants known for their ability to promote biodiversity on one hand and enrich the soil while protecting it from erosion. This green fertilizer is suitable for all types of soil, even the poorest, and is particularly recommended after a potato crop. It can be sown in a free plot of the vegetable garden or in a raised bed, broadcasted from March to September, for mowing from April to November. Once buried, the decomposed residues will enrich your soil with nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. Water well after summer sowing.

This mix is composed of seeds of: vetch, alfalfa, white clover, and phacelia

  • The vetch enriches the soil with organic matter and reduces the use of chemical fertilizers
  • The alfalfa captures nitrogen from the air and returns it to the soil for my subsequent crops
  • The phacelia and white clover attract beneficial insects to protect the vegetable garden from pests

1-Sowing:

from March to June or from July to September

2-Mowing: from April to July or from August to November

3-Burial: from May to August or from October to February

Widely used in permaculture, green fertilizers have numerous benefits: they enrich and loosen the soil while preventing the establishment of adventive plants. They also have the advantage of forming a vegetative cover that protects clayey soils from rain impact and sandy soils from leaching. They can be sown throughout the year, and can be mowed before seed formation to incorporate them through surface cultivation or left in place as mulch.
