It allows you to create a natural space in your garden, with the flowers providing a high-quality resource for pollinating insects. Description

This Wildflower Meadow is a mix of native plants that grow and bloom without the need for care in the countryside or on roadside embankments. Robust and undemanding, rustic and colourful, they also provide shelter and food for many beneficial insects, thus contributing to the preservation of biodiversity. The seeds will be sown directly in place, preferably in late summer or early autumn, in well-prepared soil in the sun. The flowers will bloom for at least two years, from spring to summer.

This selection consists of 27 species of perennial and annual plants. Annuals bloom 6 to 8 weeks after sowing, while perennial plants, which live for several years, will bloom from the second spring onwards. All these plants show rather fast growth and some self-seed spontaneously in the garden, in ordinary and well-drained soil. One packet of seeds can cover up to 100 square metres. The height of flowering plants varies from 40 to 70 cm (16 to 28in).

Partial composition: Achillea millefolium, Malva moschata, Chrysanthemum leucanthemum, Centaurea jacea, etc...

The wildflower meadow combines usefulness with pleasure: blooming throughout the entire summer season while requiring very little maintenance, it restores ecological balance and brings the charm of the countryside to the garden. Occasional watering during very dry periods will be enough to obtain numerous flowers. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mixes in a slightly neglected area, near an orchard or vegetable garden, on a large slope, or at the back of a garden bordering the countryside.

Planting and care

Sowing: preferably in September-October, or from March to early June

Turn over the soil. Depending on the surface, you can use a cultivator or agricultural equipment.  • Refine, rake, level, remove stones and weeds.  • Mix the contents of the packet with an equivalent volume of dry sand to achieve a better distribution of the seeds.  • Sow broadcast on the surface, similar to sowing a lawn.  • Roll or compact the soil to make contact between the seeds and the ground.  • Water and keep moist until germination.

Sow approximately 5g per m²

Examples:

• 50 m2: weigh out 250 grams
• 100 m2: use the entire box
