Impatiens walleriana F1 Circus Orange & White - Busy Lizzie

Impatiens Sultan F1 Circus Orange & White is an annual plant that brings charm to the shade with its brightly colored flowers.

Derived from a selection of Impatiens walleriana, native to tropical Africa and New Guinea, the Circus Orange & White Impatiens provides a mixture of bicolor flowers, white and coral orange, formed by five bilobed petals from June to late October. The deciduous leaves are medium green and leathery, while the stems tend towards purple. In autumn, it produces fleshy fruits with explosive dehiscence that forcefully expel the seeds. This peculiarity earned it the name 'impatience' as if to give it a human character trait. It is a relatively low plant that will not exceed 20 or 25 cm (8 or 10in) in height.

What to plant in the shade? This is a recurring question for gardeners.  Impatiens walleriana belong to the category of plants that thrive in partial or total shade. They can be used at the very front of a flower bed, shaded borders, never in direct sunlight, in the company of Astrantias and Hydrangeas. They are sensitive to temperatures below 10°C (50°F), so consider keeping them longer by leaving them in pots or containers to store indoors during winter.
