Digitalis parviflora Milk Chocolate - Foxglove Seeds

Foxglove 'Milk Chocolate' or Digitalis parviflora 'Milk Chocolate', is a fairly low-growing variety of foxglove with long spikes of tubular flowers in every tasty nuance of chocolate.

Digitalis parviflora 'Milk Chocolate' originates from the north of Spain and displays quite an original and delicious hue for a foxglove. It is quite modest in size, reaching a height between 30 and 65cm. Its silver-green foliage contrasts beautifully with plants with green foliage. From June to August, it produces large chocolate brown bells that do not flare, but instead reveal yellow anthers like fangs that make them look like little wild animals. It flowers from bottom to top and provides nectar to bees and bumble bees.

Reaching 65 cm n height once fully mature, the foxglove 'Milk Chocolate' is ideally planted in colourful drifts, outlining the borders of a bed or used as a bedding plant. It likes dry, well-drained, poor soil. It can be placed in the sun, in a rock garden, in a gravel garden or in an alpine garden with sage, verbena or beardtongue.

Warning: seeds are meant for very experienced gardeners who are used to sowing very fine seeds. These seeds are as fine as dust and are barely visible to the naked eye.
