To date, only 4 out of the 10 seeds in the packet have sprouted. These seedlings look fragile. The outcome will surely not meet my expectations.

Silver Falls Dichondra, known by its Latin name Dichondra argentea Silver Falls, is a semi-hardy perennial plant from the Convolvulaceae family, whose long trailing or creeping stems display a beautiful silvery grey foliage.
The vigorous growth of its highly branched stems and its dense foliage make it particularly suitable for hanging baskets in combination with other trailing plants such as bell Petunias, hybrid Verbenas, or ivy geraniums. In borders or rockeries, "pony's feet," as it is called in some countries, will act as an effective ground cover.
Its long stems range from 60 cm (24in) to 1 m (3ft) and bear numerous small leaves measuring 2 to 3 cm (1in), which contrast strongly with the green foliage of other plants. Its "silver cascade" foliage withstands drought well and prefers a sunny or semi-shaded exposure.
This perennial plant is native to subtropical regions and cannot withstand temperatures below -8°C (17.6°F). These beautiful "silver falls" are therefore generally cultivated as annual plants.
The Silver Falls Dichondra prefers a well-drained, slightly acidic substrate.

Botanical data
From January to April, sow Dichondra Silver Falls seeds in a well-drained, slightly acidic mixture. Sow the seeds thinly in a tray and then cover them with a little vermiculite. Keep the substrate moist and at a temperature of 22 to 24 degrees (71.6 to 75.2°F) Celsius.
Germination will take 5 to 10 days. Once the plants are strong enough to be transplanted, pot them in 7cm (3in) pots, then gradually acclimatise them by regularly lowering the temperature. After the last frost, you can plant them in your flower beds or planters.
There are no known parasites for this plant.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
