This year, the delivery of plants from Promesse de Fleurs leaves much to be desired. As already mentioned in a previous review, which was not published... (??). The collections were in a sorry state. The plants, having only one shoot, had suffered from drought. For the ocre-bleu collection, I will only have the blue, if it really grows.... The begonia that I would have liked so much has died, and the bidens still has only one shoot... It's been two weeks since it was planted and protected... Please replace the begonia. Regards. C. BOULANGER

More information

The Ochre-Blue Planter Collection brings together 5 annual plants that flower for months, from spring to autumn, in blue and ochre. Each one develops trailing, upright, or "cushion-like" growth, allowing for easy creation of a magnificent pot measuring 40 to 60cm (16 to 24in) in diameter. Their light flowering creates a charming jumble, dominated by spikes of sage, speckled with blue-violet and white. The marriage of blue and ochre is the combination of two harmonious atmospheres. The vivacity and warmth of ochre is soothed by blue, the colour of dreams and serenity.

Description

The Ochre-Blue Planter Collection brings together 5 annual plants that bloom for months, from spring to autumn, in ochre and blue. Each one develops trailing, upright, or "cushion-like" growth habits, making it easy to create a stunning pot with a diameter of 40 to 60cm (16 to 24in). Their light and bright flowering creates a delightful jumble, dominated by spikes of sage, with a mottled blue-violet and white colouration. The combination of blue and ochre brings together two harmonious atmospheres. The vivacity and warmth of ochre is soothed by blue, the colour of dreams and serenity.

The collection consists of:

1 plug plant of Mystic Spires Blue improved Salvia, with an upright tufted habit and very neat appearance, offering spikes of blue-violet flowers from summer to autumn.

1 plug plant of Lemon Moon Bidens, with a trailing habit and generous yellow and white bicoloured flowering.

1 plug plant of Illumination Begonia 'Apricot Tones', with a semi-trailing habit, green foliage, and numerous flowers in warm shades of yellow-orange-apricot, perfect for planting in borders.

1 plug plant of Surdiva Blue Scaevola, A unique habit, both compact, upright, and trailing, with excellent weather resistance, and rather large azure blue flowers for this type of plant, in a fan shape. It will enhance your pots in just a few weeks, bringing life to your terrace or balcony from spring to the end of summer.

1 plug plant of Silver Dust Cineraire Maritime, Elegant, almost white.

Place your pot in the sun or partial shade, on the terrace, or balcony, or to highlight the curve of a pathway, a few steps, a porch...

Note: Please be aware that our young plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners. Upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14C° for a few weeks before planting them outside once the risk of frost has passed.

Planting and care

Plant your plug plants of annuals in a pot or a large container, in a sunny or possibly semi-shaded position. They require light and humus-rich soil and appreciate a fertilizer input. In pots, the annuals should be regularly watered, and by bringing them indoors at the first frost, you can extend their flowering throughout autumn.
