The plant was very well packaged, but they should have been watered before being shipped. I believe they stayed in the box for 3 days during the hot weather (from 12th to 15th April 2024) ... A lack of water with the plug plants, it doesn't forgive... The young plants were pendulous, I planted them and watered them well, I will inform you if there are any issues with their recovery.

Description

The Impatiens Sunpatiens Compact White is an annual plant that has the ability to tolerate full sun exposure or partial shade. It is a very floriferous Impatiens and it has white single flowers. It develops into a compact ball, making pruning unnecessary. It has rapid growth and reaches a height of 20 to 25 cm (9.8 in) at maturity. Its deciduous leaves are finely dentate and have a pointed oval shape, with a shiny green color.

The compact Impatiens blooms from June until the first frost in October. The Impatiens Sunpatiens is more resistant to diseases than the classic Impatiens. It is suitable for flower beds, pots, borders, and containers, adding charm and elegance. It can also be grown indoors as a perennial. In this case, it should be pruned in spring.

The Impatiens Sunpatiens is a decontaminating plant and it lowers the surrounding temperature. It received three gold medals in 2006 at Euroflora in Italy for being the best selection, best impatiens, and best bedding plant.

Note: Please be aware that our young plants in mini plugs are professional products intended for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, replant and store them in a sheltered area (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14°C for a few weeks before installing them outdoors once all risk of frost has passed.

Planting and care

The white compact Sunpatiens Impatiens is easy to grow. It should be placed in full sun or partial shade. Plant it in the ground in spring from March to May, after the last frost as Impatiens cannot tolerate frost, for flowering from June until the first frost in October. To accelerate its growth, pre-cultivate it in a pot in a warm and bright location. Place the Impatiens in a cool, well-drained soil that is rich in humus. Water it generously, but be careful not to overwater. Pruning is not necessary. Very floriferous and fast-growing, it is nutrient-demanding. Feed it with liquid fertilizer for containers once or twice a week during the growing season. Remove faded flowers and dry leaves as they appear to keep it looking beautiful and extend the flowering period. Be aware, protect it from slugs that enjoy the young leaves, but otherwise, the white compact Sunpatiens Impatiens is resistant to diseases.
