Description

Among the hundreds of varieties of ivy, Hedera Helix Green Ripple is characterised by its highly veined leaves of bright green colour, with five deeply cut lobes that lighten its appearance.

With a compact size, about 2m (7ft) tall, it is not invasive. It is appreciated as ground cover and as a climbing plant on a wall or a small fence.

Did you know that the berries of ivy, which are not edible for humans, are loved by birds that they attract in winter?

A little gardening tip, common to many climbing plants: secure the young shoots to the ground, thus promoting the formation of new climbing shoots.

Our ivy is delivered in a 1.5L pot, 60cm (24in) tall, aged over 18 months.

Planting and care

Ivy is easy to grow and can tolerate all types of soil and exposure. Common in temperate forests, it prefers a partially shaded position and a moist, somewhat chalky soil. Water generously when planting and in the following weeks. Prune regularly to give it the desired shape.
