The honeysuckle is rightly one of the most popular climbing plants in the garden. It is easy to grow, provides generally evergreen foliage and often bears trumpet-shaped flowers throughout the summer in a wide range of colours, depending on the variety, which fill the garden with their fragrance on summer evenings. Among the most well known varieties are Halliana, a semi-evergreen with rapid growth, japonica and heckrotii. Lonicera fragrantissima, a is very unique as it is a non-climbing but highly fragrant bush.
