This bulb planter is made of an ash wood handle from sustainably managed forests, a wood known for its hardness and strength. The steel basket has the shape of a hollow cone, with the lower edge beveled: it easily sinks into the soil, trapping the soil clod in the basket. Once the planting hole is prepared, simply place the bulb or plant clod in the soil, then cover it with the excavated soil. With its wide opening, this planter can also be used as a weeding tool to remove taproots from dandelions or thistles, for example. The use of this garden tool will be facilitated in soils that are not too hard or compact, previously moistened, for example. The handle of this bulb planter is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.
