Description
The 'Boskoop Glory' Vine, native to Europe, is an interesting climbing vine that bears fruit in autumn. This beautiful vine produces blue pruinose grapes. It is an easy-to-grow perennial that is perfect for dressing up a south-facing wall or covering a pergola as well.
This fruit-bearing plant produces beautiful, juicy, and sweet clusters in August that last until September. The vine reaches a height of 7m (23ft) at maturity. It is hardy and can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F). It is a fast-growing vine that has a good yield.
In spring, the 'Boskoop Glory' Vine is decorative with its young green leaves. In autumn, its deciduous leaves take on reddish tones. The leaves of the Vitis vinifera are 20 cm (8in) long and heart-shaped. The red grapes it produces are used for the production of red wine and can also be consumed directly at the table.

Planting and care
The 'Boskoop Glory' Vine is planted in ordinary, well-drained soil, neutral or calcareous, rather moist, which you will have enriched with an organic fertiliser. Choose a full sun exposure, possibly partial shade in the south. It can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F). Prune vigorously in February by severely cutting it back. Prune again in June, more lightly, to obtain good fruiting. Every year remove the branches that have produced fruit. Stake or train to support and guide the branches. Train it against a wall in full sun to benefit directly from the grapes. Powdery mildew and powdery mildew are very common, which is why it is necessary to treat the vine as a precaution.
