Description

A medium-sized grass, Bouteloua curtipendula has bluish-green leaves, with flowering spikes grouped on one side of the stems.

In humid regions, the foliage is even bluer grown in dry soil and a sunny position. It can tolerate moist and semi-shaded soil but will have less decorative interest.
