Our pink-flowered yarrows. The Yarrow, Achillea millefolium, has produced some beautiful pink varieties such as 'Wonderful Wampee' in shades of pink, 'Excel' bright pink to purplish pink, or 'Apricot Delight' with umbels that evolve from pink to apricot and pink-red. The range of pink tones is extensive in this robust sun-loving perennial, from the brightest pink in 'Achillea asplenifolia to lavender pink in Yarrow 'Lilac Beauty', and even the pale pink of 'Achillea sibirica var. camtschatica ‘Love Parade’. The umbels of Yarrow ‘Lachsschönheit’, in all its softness, range from coral pink to salmon and cream yellow throughout its flowering period, from July to September. Among yarrows, there are differences in height depending on the species and varieties, spring or summer flowering, foliage that is more or less divided, green to silver-grey, aromatic, evergreen or deciduous. There are also differences in flower shape and not all have the same cultivation requirements. Yarrows are easy and hardy plants, very useful as ground cover, along a border or path, in a meadow.
