I am not convinced by this young plant which, once planted in a flower bed, hasn't produced much. I have foliage but hardly any flowers, even though this Achillea is in a recommended soil, with moderate watering during hot periods, but still nothing. I will not repeat the experience.

Description

The Achillea millefolium 'Saucy Seduction' is a new selection appreciated primarily for its abundant flowers of a very bright pink. The flowers remain in good condition and continue to bloom throughout the summer.

Originating from Europe, this hardy perennial with creeping stems forms a compact tuft with an upright habit. It develops deciduous, linear, and finely cut green leaves. From July to September, flat and compact corymbs of bright pink flowers that turn pale pink, 10 cm (4in) in diameter, are borne on stems 50cm (20in) tall.

The Achillea 'Saucy Seduction' prefers a rather dry and slightly chalky soil, but clay soils are accepted if they are light and well amended. It has a preference for sunny exposure.

The Achillea millefolium 'Saucy Seduction' is easy to grow and tolerates drought well, making it perfect for dressing the base of shrub roses or bordering a sunny bed.

As a medicinal perennial, Achillea millefolium has healing, hemostatic, antispasmodic, and tonic properties. Its young shoots can be used in omelettes or salads.
