Planting and care

Well-drained soil, stony but remaining moist and free of limestone. Cultivation is more challenging than it appears. Better withstands drought than others. Good perennial plants, very hardy, often stoloniferous, some of which quickly form beautiful dense carpets in shade or cool semi-shade, in a humus-rich soil, even clayey. Not demanding on soil type, they do not tolerate prolonged drought well.
