Description
The Artemisia lactiflora Guizhou, known as the Chinese mugwort, has almost black foliage contrasting with a beautiful ivory-white flowering display. This herbaceous mugwort forms splendid bushy clumps of dark green, almost black foliage, reaching a height of 1m (3ft)-1.20m (4ft). Its white flowers, slightly scented, are borne in long, airy panicles on dark brownish stems. Artemisia lactiflora Guizhou thrives in heavy clayey and moist soil, in full sun or partial shade. Pair it with knotweeds, sedges, or variegated cream hostas.
