Description

Asclepias incarnata Ice Ballet is a hardy perennial that thrives in moist, rich, and light soil. It forms a robust, upright clump and produces small, ivory-white star-shaped flowers in early summer. The flowers are arranged in rounded false umbels with green stamens and have a subtle vanilla fragrance. The plant reaches a height of 1 m (3 ft).

Formerly classified in the Asclepiadaceae family, Asclepias incarnata Ice Ballet is now grouped in the Apocynaceae family. It is easy to grow and prefers warm and humid conditions. In northern regions, it is best cultivated in sheltered areas. It looks stunning in a white garden and can be paired with Phlox 'Fujiyama', Miscanthus 'Cosmopolitan', Echinacea 'Purity', and 'Braunlaub' Eupatoriums.
