Description

Originally from Japan, the Aster rugulosus Asrugo is a wonder of acid-pink flowers, order now!

Rather like its cousin Erigeron karvinskianus, Aster rugulosus 'Asrugo' is dotted with a myriad of small daisies in shades of pink and white, from August to October.

Its upright and stout stems measure 45cm (18in) in height. A plant with a compact crown, the 'Asrugo' Aster measures 30-40cm (12-16in) in width.

It grows in all types of well-draining soils and tolerates drought. It can be grown in full sun or partial shade. It is hardy and only dislikes excess water in winter, especially when young.

This lovely little aster is just as interesting planted in a rockery as in a pot. Associate it with small plants: erigeron, carex, sedum, and achillées.
