Description
'Pantaloons' hybrid bellflower is a lovely bushy variety that produces beautiful semi-double bell-shaped flowers in early summer, pinkish-violet with a pale pink edge.
Similar to Campanula punctata from which it originates, 'Pantaloons' bellflower produces beautiful bell-shaped flowers in early summer, measuring 6-7 cm (2-3in) long, large and opulent. The flowers of this variety are unique, semi-double and pinkish-violet with a pale pink edge, borne at a height of 50cm (20in) and blooming until September.
It prefers sunny positions and moist, rich, well-draining soil and is easy to grow. When happy it produces suckers, moderately.
In a wild or romantic style garden, it can be paired with perennial geraniums, English roses, Polemonium, and ornamental garlic.

Planting and care
Plant hybrid 'Pantaloons' campanula in a sunny spot with rich and moist, well-dug soil. Don't be fooled by the size of the young plant in the pot: give it the space you would give to a small bush, as it grows quickly! Prune the stems after flowering to encourage the development of new flowers in September. In pots, apply organic fertilizer at least once a year.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
