Received at the end of September, looking scrawny, today the existing leaves have disappeared but have been replaced by two small shoots. I always plant during the waning moon.

Description
Centaurea montana Jordy brings a very unique touch to the garden, as its very finely divided flowers of very dark purple are almost black. This colour adds elegance to a border and creates highly sought-after contrasts in modern gardens.
This Centaurea is as hardy as the botanical Centaurea montana, but easier to contain as it is slightly less vigorous. It forms a spreading clump. It tolerates all types of soil and thrives in rock gardens, for example. Pair it with perennials in light colours or silver foliage.
An added bonus is that you can use the flowers in bouquets.

Centaurea montana Jordy is very easy to grow in any well-drained soil. Spontaneous sowings can become invasive on gravelly soil. Clump division can be carried out in autumn or spring.
