I was very disappointed upon receiving my order. The plants were feeble, so two of them did not survive. The third one is barely hanging on. These were meant for the village's medieval garden. I will not be recommending Promesse de Fleurs for plant purchases.

Description
Dianthus carthusianorum is a bushy perennial with a compact habit and linear and evergreen green foliage. In summer, it bears bright pink flowers adorned with a black calyx.
Hardy down to -15°C (5°F), this pink develops persistent, linear, green foliage, 40cm (16in) long, similar to grass. In July, it produces rounded bouquets with 5-petal flowers, 2cm (1in) in diameter. The flowers are dentate and are carried by long slender stems. They are dark pink with a black calyx and are ideal for creating floral arrangements alongside baby's breath and dahlias.
Dianthus carthusianorum grows in well-drained, rocky soil in a sunny or partially shaded position. Remove faded flowers as they appear to promote new flowering. Apply fertiliser in spring. Watch out for slugs. Beware of soil that retains winter moisture.
It is suitable for rock gardens, flower beds or wild gardens.

Planting and care
Plant from October to March in well-drained, dry, poor and stony soil in full sun. In heavy soil or in a region that is too wet, mix compost, sand, and gravel into your garden soil and plant in a raised bed. Don't forget to place gravel at the bottom of the hole for good drainage. Remove faded flowers as they appear to promote new flowering. Apply fertiliser in spring. Beware of slugs and soil that retains winter moisture.
