Description

Echinacea 'Marmalade' is a perennial plant that blooms from July to September. It produces large double pompom flowers with petals that slope downwards. These flowers are mandarin-coloured.

This Echinacea can reach a height of 60cm (24in). It makes a very good cut flower that lasts a long time in bouquets. It is very hardy and has deciduous foliage.

It can be found in flower beds, in perennial borders, and also in pots with companion grasses.

The 'Marmalade' Echinacea is also a melliferous plant that attracts birds and butterflies. It is used in homeopathy. It is a perennial that takes quite a while to establish.

Planting and care

Echinacea 'Marmalade' thrives in a sunny or slightly shaded exposure. Plant it in a regular, moist, and deep soil, preferably well-drained. It withstands climatic variations such as drought, heat, and humidity, and tolerates all types of soil. Echinacea is nutrient-hungry, so we recommend regularly adding a good fertilizer for it to fully flourish. Trim the stems when the flowers have faded to promote the next flowering.
