Well packaged, the habit hasn't been affected by transportation. Very lovely little horsetail perfectly suited to my small pond. The delicacy of its stems makes it particularly elegant.

Description

Equisetum scirpoides or Dwarf Japanese Horsetail is the smallest of the horsetails. Its slender green stems form a semi-evergreen decorative foliage that stays green throughout the summer. The leaves have very characteristic black rings at the joints, which make it popular in contemporary gardens.

Very hardy, it is a pond plant that is placed on the water's edge or in shallow water. Due to its small size (15 cm (6 in) in height), this horsetail is suitable for mini ponds or water reservoirs.

Equisetum can form a beautiful carpet that can be installed in a sufficiently large container. You can also place it in a moist bed to structure it. This perennial is native to arctic regions. It can become invasive.
