Planting and care

The 'Mavis Simpson' perennial Geranium should be planted from September to April in a fertile and well-drained soil, preferably in a sunny location. Space it out by 30cm (12in) in all directions. Carefully weed the area while the plant occupies the space. Mulch in summer to keep the soil cool. Divide the clumps every 5 years after flowering to rejuvenate and propagate them. Cut back the faded stems to encourage a new flowering. Watch out for slugs!
