Hemerocallis Startle - Daylily

Daylily or Hemerocallis 'Startle' is a hybrid with large flowers. The petals are thick and have very undulate edges. It is a particularly colourful variety, with a round flower that is dark purple-pink, like velvet, and edged with creamy white. The chartreuse-yellow throat lights up the whole flower. The Hemerocallis genus belongs to the Liliaceae family. They are perennial and hardy plants with deciduous foliage and are sometimes semi-evergreen.
