Description
These beautiful perennial plants, some of which grow spontaneously in humid mountain woodlands, have abundant flowering that is often very fragrant.
Also known as Sisymbrium luteum, this tall perennial plant forms an upright, dense clump, topped in spring with straight and light, highly branched stems, bearing a multitude of small pale yellow flowers.

Planting and care
A very resilient species that thrives in shade, but also tolerates sun if the soil remains moist in summer. It thrives in any cool, humus-rich soil, even limestone. It thrives excellently in the cool, moist, partially shaded soil of the garden, where it occasionally self-seeds.

It will vary according to where you live:
- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
