The Autumn Light composition offers a combination of four perennial plants selected for their decorative aspect throughout the year. Their foliage is varied in texture and colour and blends harmoniously and they flower in succession from spring until the end of summer. All are hardy and easy to cultivate in pots or in the ground. Just make sure they don't lack water and avoid the scorching sun. Already composed, this mixture allows you to create an immediate, tasteful and lasting effect on your terrace or in your garden.
This composition combines a euphorbia with white-cream edged foliage, which will bloom acid-green in spring, a heuchera with beautiful brown-purple to caramel foliage and delicate flower spikes in summer, and a grass called Koeleria glauca with fine bluish leaves and early flowers, from late spring to summer. The upright, light inflorescences of the grass, initially white and translucent, then tinted with buff, remain decorative on the plant for a long time. A creeping lysimachia completes the ensemble and enhances its neighbours producing long trailing stems adorned with small rounded green-gold leaves and blooming bright yellow throughout the summer. Among the plants in this composition, only the foliage of the lysimachia mummularia disappears in winter.
Grown in the same pot, these perennial plants go well together. They should be repotted in a larger, wider container to showcase them on the balcony or terrace. This composition can also be planted in the ground, in partial shade and in rich and moist soil.

Botanical data
Plant your Autumn Light composition in spring or early autumn in a large container to allow the plants to reach their full potential. Use rich soil and water regularly. Apply universal fertilizer in spring. Choose a partially shaded to sunny exposure, but not scorching. The created pot can stay outside for winter as it is composed of hardy plants.
In the ground: if your soil is heavy, mix some compost and sand with it and place your composition so that the top of the root ball is covered with 3 cm (1in) of soil. Applying a base fertilizer will nourish your plants during their rooting period without the risk of burning. Compact the soil and water thoroughly to eliminate air pockets. If the weather is dry, you will need to water regularly for a few weeks to aid establishment, then water your plants regularly (especially the loosestrife) if it is very dry. We recommend pruning the dry leaves and stems in February.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
