Young plant well packed, arrived safely, replanted... seems to have recovered well. Still complicated with Colissimo. This parcel was dispatched from Promesse de Fleurs on 18/03. Arrived on 23/03. Colissimo tracking website - La Poste out of service for 2 days. But, for once, a true home delivery (no receipt left in my mailbox indicating that I was not at home; when I was present). Poor quality of the Colissimo link to select a delivery point, as it only displays a quarter of the city. Apart from that, the quality of the plants sent by Promesse de Fleurs is a reality. Never disappointed with my plantings since I discovered Promesse de Fleurs 3 years ago.

Description

Leafy yellow-green foliage. The white flowers are tiny, measuring 2 to 10 mm (0.1 to 0.4 in) in length. They appear in spring and summer on sparsely leafy upright stems in feathery spikes.

Excellent ground cover, very decorative when planted alongside hostas and brunneras.

Also consider using them in containers. They provide decorative appeal for 9 out of 12 months.

Planting and care

Prepare a planting hole measuring 20 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm (8 in x 8 in x 8in). If your soil is heavy, mix some compost with the crumbled soil, partially fill the hole, and place your bucket (after removing the pot) so that the top of the plant's root ball is covered with 3 cm (1 in) of soil. Adding a slow-release fertiliser (dried blood or crushed horn) will nourish your plant during its rooting period without the risk of burning. Firm the soil and water generously to eliminate air pockets. If the weather is dry, you will need to water regularly for a few weeks to encourage the establishment of your plant. The woody stump tends to emerge from the soil, so mulch every year. Heucheras renew their foliage in late winter, so we recommend cutting back the previous year's leaves in January or February.
